The History and the Reason

Motives Behind the Drive:

Brainstamp Graphics is an Online Artisan Co-op & Collective; A Non-Profit Artsharing Community whose purpose is to utilize the Internet as a conduit to admire artistic creativity found throught California.

I am currently seeking artists to submit work towards this purpose. I am coordinating with other clients to provide free web space on their servers.

All imagery is copyrighted to each Participant; Content is used for display purposes only.

The purpose of this sharing is to provide a local platform that artists may use to help influence the advertising and selling of their work(s).

This work is in no way limited by medium, however, for now I am unable to provide any means for streaming audio or video.

If a visitor to the site is interested in art they would like to purchase, they will link directly to the artist.

Mediums represented in this website include, and are not limited to, photography (traditional and digital), sculpture, drawing, painting, screen printing, marbling, papermaking, digital imagery, flash movies, printmaking, and ceramics.

Hopefully, I will soon be receiving financial support from various organizations and foundations so I can incorporate my own server into our backbone. Once Brainstamp Graphics has its own server we will be able to host video and audio files from local bands and feature performing arts.

As with any growing entity, I would like a small amount of volunteer effort in making this easier to manage. There are many proven ways in which this organization can help to provide cultural substance. {insert benefits of art here...}

Likewise, I encourage any type of expression, and I am interested in collaboration with other webrings to provide exposure and recognition. Due to the constraints of various download speeds, I am going to limit the formatting of image size to 640 x 480 pixels; smaller sized imagery is welcome. Images may be presented in jpg or gif formats.

Any and all participants are encouraged to respond with suggestions and commentary.. This information will self-create a structure based on need and desire. Some possible benefits that will come with exposure on this site are grants from local, state, and national foundations.

With enough general support funding will come, however, involvement with this organization has to be based on desire and interest of the participants to be eligible. For now, I alone will structure the design of the website to meet appropriate needs until the template must be updated due to issues of content conformity.
